The top draw, however, is the Tactile Dome, a totally dark sphere in which you feel your way along, touching a range of sensorially stimulating objects and textures (see p94).

This standard 1960s motel is handy for the Castro, the Lower Haight, and the Mission. It s one of those no frills, what you see is what you get places, simple and very serviceable, and quiet, given its prime location. Free parking is a plus, and cable TV, too.
